if you want the boa for breeding purposes make sure that the striping is genetic. like BG said sometimes breeders will jack up the temps to make the babies patterns different. that does not mean the snake will pass on the striped tail to his offspring. if the baby has a stripe and the parents have stripes then you're pretty sure that the trait is genetic.
