Well that part I can't tell you. That does seem a bit pricey for food, but maybe the milk snake had died of other causes and he was just trying to make use of it instead of just throwing it in the trash.
Oh yea, a I almost left out one of the greatest snake eaters of all time. The Cobra! Which is the same family, Elapidae, as the coral snake anyways. Sea snakes are also in that family, but I can not recall ever hearing about them eating other snakes. But if they did it would be cannibalism since the only other snakes that would be where they were hunting would be other sea snakes.
