I could be wrong but russian tortoises live in deserts.....
hot dry areas like afghanastan, pakistan, southern russia , iran..
they are only active for a few months of the year...
they hibernate from oct-march then they aestvate from the heat in june.july and august....
Its nothing like minnesota.....
