While it is best to NOT overfeed aka power feeding, just the same is true on the opposite spectrum of the scale also by underfeeding, as both would relate to a snake's overall health status from it's feeding regime. If you feed a snake every 3-4 weeks at a young age..
You are starving it is all !
If you feed a snake such as a BOA at 5' length and 6 years of age consistantly..
You are underfeeding it [img]modules/Forum/images/smiles/icon_confused.gif[/img]
YES I do agree that their metabolism does slow down as they mature, BUT what you are infering here in relation to such is out of the realm of relation to such. A feeding schedule of like every 10-14 days for the older referencing would be more suitable in feeding such a BOA. Doing such would
NOT lead to overfeeding nor would it lead to underfeeding.

Just my .02 from experience I have had over the years in relation to rehabs that were health jeopardized from their feeding regimes.
