For your info I'll give you MY royal setup 3ft viv, 2hides, plants, newspaper substrate, heated with a guarded ceramic on a thermostat, hot end is 92day cool 85 night is 85hot, 80-81cool measured with infra red thermomemter and humidity of 60% knocked up to 70-80%when shedding and fresh water is always available. This is a male royal/ball python and mine hasn't eaten anything since October and was stuffing down large rats weekly and has lost weight but nothing to be concerned about, I'm 17 and can get this right so you should be able to aswell and I have NEVER fed live, i have a female BP who was bought as a live feeder but took frozen from day one they were just warmed up a lot and dusted with mousemaker for added live efect and now she feeds every week without a problem. A lot of royals go off feed because they want to breed around now and anyone buying one should be purchasing it knowing that they are gits for feeding at times. I honestly think you should just be patient and leave it 7-14days and then warm up a mouse/rat wiggle it a bit or leave it with your snake and see how it goes.
