perhaps i am just a bad "mom " to my boa. Any suggestions on keeping the humidity up. i spray its cage a few times a day and cover one side "the cool side" with a towel the temp stays between 84-89 on the hot side, my cage setup is crap but its what i can do for now i have a glass cage screen top lid. I noticed its last shed 2 days ago i was looking and thought i noticed both eyecaps. now a piece of my snakes eye on the right side is stuck i heard about getting mineral or almond oil and swabbing at it. i did and it is still there Also some skin is left on its tail blocking the vent i have been soaking it in warm water , my snake loves soaking only if he is doing it himself , he seems to hate when i am putting him in any sort of water, although i am helping him. I put some oil on my hand and rub from head to tail to try to loosen the skin by the vent, i dont know if i pull at the skin if my snake will hurt

. i also read somewhere where someone dabbed at a retained eyecap with tape ,sticky side up,since i am a newbie to the snake, i dont want to attempt to dab anything sticky to his eye .
