Toxic?

I am going to be making some pine custom enclosures during the summer but Im not sure if pine is toxic. I havent heard that it is. Does anyone know any non toxic woods that would be ok? I have also heard plywood is toxic, is that true? Im trying to build a nice enclosure to look at because Aquariums suck and im not really into rubbermaids.
