I've reused the moss. I buy a decent size bag and then use about two handfuls in the container. Then after he's used it for a bit I take it out, spray in a strainer and stick it in a bag in the freezer to kill anything and then use it again later. I really don't know if that's overkill but he uses that hide so much I want to make sure its not growing anything!
