There are 2 distinct types of Nile Monitor personalitys. They are both fairly equally common.

1- Every opportunity to eat your face off and tail thrash you into wishing you had bought a gerbil will be taken.

2- seemingly dog tame but realistically that's only because he-she's nearly dead from stress or some other form of illness.

If you ever manage to "tame" your nile monitor especially in it's adult years, PLEASE make a vet appointment asap.
