Thanks, I don't have an issue with Provent-a-mite. I've read nothing but great reviews from everyone that has used it.
I just felt it was easier for me to drive 2 blocks to Wal-Mart and pick up a $4.00 can of Permanone, rather than pay $20+S&H and wait 2-3-4 days for the Provent-a-mite. It's not about the $25.00, it's about my right to a choice.
You could easily kill your snake if you drown it in Reptile Relief or Provent-a-mite as you can by misusing Sawyers, Permanone or even Nix. I just don't think anyone should be harassed or given any crap because they decide to use some other product or use a natural remedy.
1) We removed the snake and water bowl,
2) Cleaned out the cage,
3) Sprayed a 4x2 cage for 2 seconds with Permanone
4) Closed the cage,
5) Let it sit for about 30 minutes
6) Opened the cage and let it air out
To be on the safe side since I wasn't sure I suggested we leave the snake out till lunch time today. This is almost 24hrs after the cage was allowed to air out any fumes before placing the snake back in the cage on a few layers of paper towels.
