Permanone seems to be the same thing as Provent-a-mite, same active ingredients. Like Advil and Ibuprofen. When I used BK on my own collection a few years back it worked like a charm! But I understand they stopped selling it due to some legal actions with Provent-a-mite.
After reading a bit, we're going to use a combo of reptile relief on the snake and Permanone in the cage. Reptile Relief seems to only work if the liquid comes in contact with the mites, Permethrin the active ingredient in Permanone and Provent-a-mite kills mites for 2-4 weeks. I think with a treatment of Permethrin and 2-3 treatments of Reptile Relief should do the trick.
This stuff is pretty strong, I don't remember BK smelling this strong. Is this OK during breeding season? We plan on using this girl with one of my males next month if possible. That is of course after I am 150% sure there are no mites left!
