I have only had mites once but the Permanone treatement worked well. Typically you would leave everything but the snake and the waterbowl in the tank. Spray the tank, seal it up and leave it for about 30 minutes, then open it up to air out for an hour or so. After the hour has passed you can put the snake and water bowl back. The residue will continue to kill of the mites for roughly 2 weeks. If the mites start to reappear in 2 weeks you will need to re-treat.
