Get the fudge out of the airforce and get a job in the private sector then. You got the smarts and the experience, why in God's name would you stay???
Personally, I would never begrudge any armed forces person any increase in anything. B/c they have the balls to look death in the face so I can sit on my lazy couch potato #$%^$%^$%^& and earn big $ doing the same work and not wonder if or when a bullet is gonna pierce my body.
The gun thing:
Laws are laws. Is it really that important that you carry a gun with you everywhere you go? I have managed to survive almost 32 years without ever having carried one.
