In captivity you could probably go down to a 10x3x2, 8x4x2, 10x4x2. The bigger the better really, but they still need regular handling for excercise in any event. Personally I would advise against giving up a whole room because I've observed very strong territorial behaviour in our Burms, and this could be a safety issue if you're walking into a room which the snake considers to be it's territory. It would also present you with a tricky situation come feeding time too.
