I reccomend getting a beardie that is at least 12 inchs. At this age they have realized how big and bad they are and aren't scared of anything (except for maybe a family cat!).Juvilelles diet should be around 50% incectivous 30% leafy greens and 10% fruits and 10% whole grain. Some of the classic insects for beardies are crickets, mealworms, waxworms, superworms (zamophdos), and nightcrawlers or redworms for the adults. Some good plants to feed them are collared greens, broccili, carrots, cactus, clover, dandelion, millet, mustard greens, okra, parsley, turnip, kale, green beans, beet greens, and spinach greens. Pretty much any fruits just watch out for large seeds and they particually like berries.
Beardies are awesome once they reach that 12 inch mark where they calm down. Just hold him alot and he will reconize you for food and really do some amazing things!!
