I've been tagged in a feeding response, a defense response and a "I'm tired of being fooled with" response LOL. The feeding response hurt worse because of the strike that was behind it. It was by a 6'+ female bci. When they strike it is like being punched because of the sheer magnitude of muscle behind it. Luckliy she let go immediately, she knew I wasn't food as soon as she bit me. That one hurt like heck. The defense response bite hurt, but not near as bad since there wasn't a long strike involved. The snake was merely startled so he turned and bit me. The "leave me be" bites aren't bad at all. I have a couple of snakes that just grab some skin and let go... you hardly even feel it, and if you do, it's done before you realize it.
I avoid getting bitten as much as possible, but sometimes there is no avoiding it. Once it happens you always think to yourself, "Well, that wasn't so bad," then you do your best not to repeat it, LOL.
