Anything with a mouth can bite... anything that can bite can hurt
Personally I have lost count on how many times I have been bitten, thank my Dumerili for that
but only once have I lost any blood, thank my oldest BP for that one.
The bite IMO does not hurt, it happens so fast and their teeth are so sharp that it just slides right through. Now, that being said, b/c it happens so fast it can make you jump, so it scares you more than anything.
The next day it can hurt a little bit, but no more than any other small injury.
