The "dwarf burm" that you guys are probably referring to is actually another subspecies of rock pythons. This is known as either the Ceylonese Python or Sri Lankan Python (
Python molurus pimbura). I don't know if the species name has changed recently, but this is the only one to my knowledge. They are distinguishable with a "spade" marking on top of their heads, as opposed to the spear on top of a burms' heads. In my opinion, the blotches on the P. m. pimbura's body seem more irregular than those of the burms.
