Remember that chameleons are very delicate, don't tolerate handling well, have very strict requirements, can go on hunger strikes for no apparent reason, and even under perfect conditions sometimes get sick, and any symptoms should be considered severe since they are very slow to show signs of illness. Read everything you can get your hands on before committing to a cham. I love mine dearly, but she is a lot of work and is definitely a look but don't touch pet.
