On the right side of female red tail boa's mouth, inside the mouth is a brown thing like this big -- <--- I always feed her seperate from her cage in a big plastic tub, w/ no substrate, and w/ frozen mice. She ate last Thursday only 1 mouse, instead of 2. I figured its cos she was about to shed and she had 2 mice 10 days previous. About a month ago the vet saw her and took a look at her mouth, and was fine no brown thing there. And guess what I just took a q-tip to the brown thing in her mouth w/ a solution of 50% hydrogen peroxide and 50% water, and the brown stuff came off! Now nothing is there. What could it be? The reason why I took her to the vet a month ago was her muscle tone was slack but antibiotics helped that. I don't even know what caused her to get that problem w/ her muscle slack in the first place? All you knowledgeable people I really appreciate your insights. Inside her cage she has mostly pet bark with some Kaytee Soft-Sorbent Bedding & Litter. She is having a hard time shedding too, so I increased the humidity and added a heat lamp to her already heated enclosure. Thank You, EA
