I feel your pain. I would like to get different size rats, but everywhere has them in 25 to 50 count bags... one snake, feeding every week... 25 weeks thats over 6months of food. Far too long to have in the freezer. unless you repack them and seal them, then I think you can get a bit longer.

Since I got some bigger snakes now, I have decided to buy a small chest freezer to put the large rats and rabbits in but I am still stuck with what the pet store has, and that is not much
