OK...Here is the story...lol
I bought Picasso (male) a year and half or so ago and I just adopted Sonni (female) from Tambra. She has been working with her for a pretty long time and can't get her to stop biting and she keeps laying infertile eggs so Herm built her a nesting box and we set it up here. My original intentions were to breed for a few chicks and then adopt her out, hand raise the babies and give one to Tambra to start fresh. From what I have been reading and hearing from breeders, now that they are bonding, they really should be left as a pair and it would be kinda mean to split them up...so ,,,oh well what's 8 birds when you already have 7 right? Geez this is getting as bad as my snake collection. But anyway, If this all works out, I should have some nice hand raised baby conures available soon for a very reasonable price. I just let them out of the cage together today for the first time. They have been side by side for a week but haven't been able to make physical contact. They seemed to hit it off well. At first they were more interested in each other's cage toys LOL...but they are following each other around a lot. I don't think either has found the nesting box yet but I'm sure they will eventually.
Which one seems the most shy here? lol
